This paper deals with the promotion of religious tourism with the use of modern information and communication technologies. The promotion activities help destinations with religious tourism offer to grow and thrive, creating long term relationship with tourists who prefer this type of travel. They should also raise awareness about the importance and the conservation of religious and cultural heritage. The main objective of the paper is exploring possibilities of digital promotion of this type

The results obtained by literature description, indicate explicitly that digital tools are the most effective tools in the process of matching religious tourism offer with potential tourists and pilgrims.
