Resumo Este artigo pretende refletir sobre a relação existente entre envelhecimento, finitude e religião. A ideia de envelhecimento remete a diversas possibilidades de compreensão, desde a biológica, passando pela psicológica e sociológica, sempre tendo presente a perspectiva antropológica. Abstract The aim of this article is to reflect over the relationship among aging, finitude and religion. The idea of aging refers to various possibilities of comprehension, from biological, passing through psychological and sociological, always referring to the anthropological comprehension. After a brief definition of the approaches referred above, a religious view will be presented, which is understood as utopia and hope. This is the only way to establish a relationship among finitude, aging and religion. More than a simple articulation between these concepts, the aim is to present the idea that life, associated with utopia and hope, are great vectors in the comprehension of the aging process.
