This article will examine the major writings of Christian Norberg-Schulz, critically evaluating his interpretation of phenomenology in architecture in its ambiguous relation to the project of modernity. In addition we will introduce his perspectives on the meaning of dwelling as well as the newest concept of dwelling in the West and its problems
