In this paper, we discuss a communication system for disaster relief medical teams. Usually, Japanese medical teams are not equipped with communication systems specialized for disaster operations. They can only rely on common-use mobile and landline phones during disaster events. However, public lines are reported to be out of function in disaster areas during the past major disasters.
