Zika virus (ZIKV) caused significant public health concern, because of its association with congenital malformations, neurological disorders in adults and, more recently, with deaths. Considering the necessity to mitigate the cases ZIKV-associated diseases, antiviral interventions against this virus are an urgent necessity.
