... porations and one federal agency have joined with the AMS to offer eighteen undergraduate scholarships in the atmospheric and related oceanic and hydrologic sciences. The scholarships, awarded for the junior and senior years, are designed to encourage outstanding undergraduates to pursue careers in the fields covered by the awards. The scholarships are based on merit and are awarded to students who have shown the potential for accomplishment in these fields.
