The assurance of the protection for the delivered drinking water against the secondary pathogenic increases in the distribution network will become a prime importance target for water treatment plants. In the waterworks there are used the multi barrier concept, and each treatment step will have to be optimized to obtain a maximum reduction of the compounds which are a health hazard to consumers.
