The first part of the report summarises some of the main structural challenges facing high streets and town/city centres. In doing so, the report draws on the IPM's extensive research and engagement with places across the UK and beyond in relation the vitality and ability of high streets and centres. The second part of the report presents the workshop findings from Atherstone, before outlining an adaptable framework based on the IPM's 4Rs – Restructuring, Rebranding, Repositioning and Reinventing, which includes suggestions for quick win's together with recommendations for longer term priorities.
