This study aims to clarify the architectural characteristics of MACHIYA which was built in the Meiji, Taisho and before the world war Ⅱ period at Ogawa-machi. And also it aims to clarify the circumstances of existing three MACHIYA. The three typical MACHIYA at Ogawa-machi were selected and we made measuring, hearing survey of them. These MACHIYA have survived by many residents every possible effort. In this paper we detailed description about "HASEGAWA Silk Reeling Mill and Residence". The
