The report is a response to the ESA (European Space Agency) instrumental contribution call for the EJSM (Europa Jupiter System Mission), in 2010. The EJSM EMSS (ElectroMagnetic Sensor Study) team has performed a comparative analysis of electric and magnetic sensors for the study of the Jovian magnetosphere system and assessed their relevance to the Ganymede environment in order to optimize the science return of the Radio and Plasma Waves Instrument (RPWI) investigation.
