Training of scientific-research skills in medical students

the training of scientific-research skills is one of the activities that guarantee the comprehensive development in medical students. more » ... tudies. The results were presented in charts and statistical tables, making comparisons with other studies with reference to this topic. Results: the first academic year of medical studies and female sex prevailed in both academic years (66,3 % in the first) and (65,3 % in the second). Scientific conferences predominated as the main scientific-research activity (100 %), and the teaching of training activities (33,9 %). With respect to the scientific-investigative characteristics of medical students, 100 % presented the development of scientific research skills and work of tutors from the Primary Health Care, as well as the scientific work from the honorary staff and the assistantship, 27,5 % and 22,8 % of the students respectively, 14,9 % obtained awards in the research works presented. Conclusions: the training of scientific-research skills in medical students was described, which constitutes a fundamental tool in the sustainability and development of the primary health care level.
