Red cell carbonic anhydrases(C. A.) B and C were measured by a single radial immunodiffusion in 38 patients with chronic obstructive lung disease (COLD). C. A. B was significantly increased in patients with COLD. Calculated plasma HCO3-concentration was positively correlated with C. A. B amount (r=0.318, p<0.05). C. A. C did not show an increment nor a correlation with 日 胸 疾 会 誌13(10), 1975.
