Health Risk of Particulate Matter on Primary School Students in West Jakarta

Particulate matter (PM) is the most common air pollutant found in West Jakarta, with the main source being the increase of the motor vehicle used. Methods: This study investigated the PM concentrations and the related health risk from PM exposure on primary school students in West Jakarta. The PM 2.5 concentration was measured using instrument HAZDUST, Model: SKC EPAM-5000, PA 15330. more » ... m 3 . Discussion: The health risk analysis of the students showed that the PM 2.5 intake was lower than the reference dose or safety limit. Conclusions: The findings of this study showed that primary school students were not under the risk of exposure to PM 2.5 in the school environment.
