The variables related to motivation and the number of studies were as follows: "enjoyment" (four studies), "perceived autonomy," "perceived competence," and "perceived relatedness" of basic psychological needs theory (three studies). Moreover, there were eight studies on "amotivation," "external regulation," "introduced regulation," "identified regulation," "integrated regulation," and "intrinsic motivation" of self-determination theory. There were two studies on "task" and "goal" of goal orientation theory, and one paper on "mastery" related to motivational climate. In addition, we included one paper each on "social status" and "other's expectations."
