Interest in Stable Isotopes Analyses (SIA) is increasing in freshwater ecology to better clarify ecosystems' functioning. By measuring carbon and nitrogen isotopic signatures, food sources and organism trophic levels can be tracked, providing quantitative estimates of bi-dimensional niches.
