The external auditory canal (EAC) is formed by lateral cartila ginous and medial bony part. The stenosis of EAC is narrowing of the width of the EAC, i.e. either caused by congenital or acquired causes. Myringosclerosis is a condition caused by calcification of tissues in the tympanic membrane and ossi fication is a special form of fibrosis due to the longterm, irreversible continued inflammation in the middle ear cleft.
