In the process of thermal recovery from sewage waste heat, the attachment of biolfilm to the heat exchanger causes a reduction in efficiency. In this research, experiments were done in untreated sewage pipelines to determine the initial heat transfer coefficient and its change over time as well as the fouling factor. Using data from autumn, winter and summer; a model for the fouling factor considering sewage velocity and temperature was developed.
