They are cultivated for along time and can adaptation well. Local varities are a valuable asset if managed well and be a source of useful germplasm to assemble new varieties. more » ... as done in two step. First, exploration of tidal rice to get paddy using a survey method. Further, evaluation quality of rice. The result showed, there are 12 local varieties of local tidal rice from Sub Pengabuan that its quality was identified. White degree of rice are 48.50-50.70 %, translucent 11.71-2.93 %. The dimension of rice are medium and long that the long of rice 5,37-6,91 mm, width of rice 2,03-2,53. Protein content of rice are 6,03-8,95 %. The rice has high amylose and temperature gelatinization. Taste of rice is pera. There are 5 varities of rice quality III, 6 varities quality IV and 1 varitie quality V base on SNI.
