The present study is mainly based on Remote Sensing and G.I.S analysis of the land use and land cover changes of Farakka community development block at Murshidabad district of West Bengal on spatio – temporal basis from Landsat Image 1990 to 2020. The main objectives are to detect the changes in land use and land cover and to examine the main factors and their impact on landscape dynamics. An image has been classified digitally with the help of the Supervised Image Classification method under Maximum Likelihood Classification techniques which also helps to identify the transformation of land from vegetation cover to agricultural land and built-up area.
