This paper proposes a class of hybrid dualoperating-mode pulse-width-modulation based sliding mode controllers for DC-DC converters functioning in both the continuous and discontinuous conduction modes. The controllers are simplified hybrid combinations of sliding mode controllers designed for the continuous conduction mode and sliding mode controllers designed for the discontinuous conduction mode.
