ABS1RACT In the early 1980's the Dutch government started a policy stimulating the introduction of computers in education which ended in 1992. Currently the Dutch government considers new technologies to be part of regular educational practice not needing further national stimulation. This paper summarizes the results of a decade of stimulation policies in the Netherlands.
