Man is a physical / corporeal, moral, intellectual, religious and complex being. It is through the body that one can identify individuality, existence and being, elements that refer to the organization. The human being is a living subject, a totality of interdependent relationships in which no part can be isolated while the living process continues. Thus, this study aimed to understand the concept of human being of professors of the Nursing Course of a university in the light of Edgar Morin's homo complexus. As a methodology, a qualitative, exploratory comprehensive approach was carried out through a focus group, or a conversation wheel or semi-structured interview with twenty-five professors of the Nursing Course of the State University of Londrina. two years in the integrated curriculum, from November 2013 to May 2014. Ethical aspects were respected. The results pointed to several human dimensions in the teachers' speech as a being with instincts, biological, social, economic, cultural, historical, family, relational, communicative, sentimental, spiritual that needs care, and were also explained philosophical questions about existence, of human complexity and human contradictions. It was concluded that teachers bring their conceptions to the teaching process, because the concept of human being is not an expression of content, but a worldview that permeates any relationship that is established.
