... architectural heritage, through studying different international experiences of similar buildings listed as a global architectural heritage represented in the bridge of Mohamed Pasha Sokolovic in the Bosnian Serb Republic, the Padre Templek Canal in Mexico, and the Pontescelit Canal in England. The research aims to study and analyze these heritage models in order to identify the various procedures and methods that have been followed and applied for their development which can be applied to the ancient Assiut Barrages for the purpose of investing the local urban heritage. The research comes out with conclusions and recommendations applicable to the ancient Assiut Barrages in the context of investment and development for being a distinctive heritage.
