with proper hand washing practices are less likely to report gastrointestinal and respiratory symptoms 1 . In addition, hand washing with soap has been reported to reduce diarrheal morbidity by 44% and respiratory infections by 23% 2 . There-fore, it is clearly evident that the aim of personal hygiene is not only to promote the standards of personal cleanliness within the setting of the condition where people live, but also to reduce the prevalence and incidence of communicable diseases.
