ESTABLISHMENT OF A STINFO PROGRAM FOR THE AIR FORCE AERO PROPULSION LABORATORY [report]

The STINFO Office, established and staffed by the University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) within the Air Force Aero Propulsion Laboratory (AFAPL) under contract AF 33(615)-2993, has completed eighteen months of operation. The staff of an average of seven full-time persons during this period has defined the needs of the AFAPL engineering personnel for scientific and technical information and has established a program to satisfy these needs. more » ... ctions: literature searching, document acquisition and storage, and the dissemination of information. The procedures associated with these functions are described in detail and statistics are presented to account for the day-to-day activities. STINFO personnel, after establishing the program, are to train government employees in a six-month period to assume operation of the program after completion of the contract.
