Synovial osteochondromatosis in the TFCC region

Saizou Teshima Teshima Orthopaedic Hospital Osteochondromatosis in the wrist is infrequent, and very rare in the radiocarpal joint, especially in the triangular librocartilage complex (TFCC) region, This is a case report of a 38-year-old woman with synovial osteochondromatosis in the radiocarpal joint. MRI showed TFCC, and the synovial sheath of the Extensor carpi ulnaris (ECU) was involved with osteochondromatosis. At surgery excision of osteochondral bodies, partial resection of the TFCC, and
more » ... synovectomy were indicated. The TFCC was reconstructed with the extensor carpi ulnaris tendon. At 8 months's follow-up, the patient was asymptomatic with full range of motion in the affected wrist.
