Vitreous hemorrhage (VH) is the accumulation of blood in the vitreous chamber or in the space produced by vitreous detachment; it can be preretinal (subhyaloid) or in the entire vitreous. VH is one of the most common causes of decreased visual acuity. VH may be located in the anterior, middle or posterior vitreous or in the entire vitreous.
