Mustafa Kemal established the Anadolu Agency on April 6, 1920 in order to convey our national cause to the world public and to direct the people in the country to this great purpose. In narrow possibilities, local Press, which is full of love for homeland and excitement of journalism, has served the reader and has been the first public in the formation of public opinion, and has been the pioneer of mass media. However, the local press has always been in the secondary plan beside the national press and has not seen the value it deserves. In this study, surveys of the local press in Amasya, Çorum, Ordu, Samsun, Tokat provinces and districts in the Central Black Sea Region were conducted. The problems of the newspapers in these provinces were identified and solutions were proposed.
