Cultures of Abies alba embryonal-suspensor mass (EMS) were screened for their response to various sucrose concentrations ranging from 1%-6% (w/v) and various carbohydrate sources in equimolar concentrations, i.e. glucose, fructose, galactose, sucrose, and soluble starch.
