Cities are often divided by invisible borders, and this demarcation is man-made, with some areas featuring large infrastructure, well-maintained parks, gardens, and upscale residential areas. In contrast, other areas are characterized by severe deprivation, inadequate housing, inadequate services, poor recreation and cultural facilities, deterioration, and scarce infrastructure investment.
