This research was conducted using Sense of Humor Scale, adopted from The Multidimensional Sense of Humor Scale (MSHS) and Self-confidence scale that based on Lauster (1997). SPS with a product moment correlation was used to study the relationship between the studies variables. Teh result of analysis showed there was a significant positive correlation between sense of humor and self-confidence with correlation coefficient (r) and p=0,000 (p<0,01), it means that as the value of sense of humor increases, the value of self-confidence increases; as one decreases the other decreases. SE score show that sense of humor can support PPL teacher's as many as 26,2%, it means there are 73,8% other variables that affect the self-confidence, beside the sense of humor variable. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Sense of Humor yang dimiliki guru PPL terhadap tingkat kepercayaan diri mereka pada saat proses belajar mengajar berlangsung. Di mana pada awal penelitian sebesar 80% dari 20 orang guru PPL menunjukkan tingkat kepercayaan diri yang rendah. Subjek penelitian adalah 338 mahasiswa FKIP UMS yang sedang menjalani proses PPL yang dipilih menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel Cluster Random Sampling (Area Sampling) yaitu teknik sampling yang digunakan untuk menentukan sampel bilamana subjek yang akan diteliti berbentuk kelompok. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrument ukur berupa skala kepercayaan diri yang disusun berdasarkan Lauster (1997) dan skala Sense of Humor yang diadaptasi dari The Multidimensional Sense of Humor Scale (MSHS). Analisis data yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan bantuan SPS dengan analisis product moment untuk mengukur hubungan antara sense of humor dengan kepercayaan diri. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan ada hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara Sense of Humor dengan kepercayaan diri yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,512 dengan p=0,000 (p<0,01) artinya semakin tinggi Sense of Humor maka semakin tinggi kepercayaan dirinya atau sebaliknya semakin rendah Sense of humor maka semakin rendah pula kepercayaan diri seseorang. Bobot sumbangan efektif (SE) dari variabel Sense of humor terhadap kepercayaan diri sebesar 26,2 %, berarti masih terdapat 73,8 % variabel-variabel lain yang mempengaruhi kepercayaan diri di luar variabel Sense of Humor.
