Physical properties of paddy are necessary for the design of equipment to handle, transport, process and store of the crop. These properties are evaluated as a function of moisture content of grain. In this study, some physical properties of raw paddy are discussed briefly. The grain was tested for bulk density, sphericity, thousand grain weight, size, angle of repose etc were determined with variable materials at 12 % moisture content wet basis.
