The electrical properties of Metal-Phthalocyanines (M-Pc) are affected upon exposure to gases containing not only some oxidizing/deoxidizing molecules but also nerve agent simulants. This phenomenon finds application in the use of Organic Thin-Film Transistors (OTFTs) based on copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) and cobalt phthalocyanine (CoPc) as gas sensors.
