An efficient protocol has been developed for the root culture of (Cichorium intybus L. cv. Focus), the leaf and hypocotyl explants from 25 days old in vitro raised seedlings were cultured on half-strength Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with different concentrations and combinations of Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA), α-Napthalenacetic acid (NAA). 0.5 mg/l NAA and 0.1 mg/l IBA induced highest percentage of rooting from matured leaf explants, under total dark
