Complications of Dermatocosmetic Procedures

Over the last several decades the popularity of minimally invasive cosmetic procedures especially botulinum toxin, soft tissue fillers and chemical peelings, increased exponentially. Although these procedures are generally considered to be safe, a variety of adverse reactions and complications ranging from temporary and mild injection site reactions to long lasting or permanent serious complications may occur. more » ... being used, or technique of the physician, or some other factors involved. To avoid complications, these procedures must be performed carefully using proper techniques and materials, and patients must be followed up closely as needed after the procedure.
