Synthesis and CO2 EOR Applications of Foaming Surfactants

CO 2 philic surfactants as foaming agent have the potential to overcome CO 2 mobility issues. A study has been conducted to synthesize and evaluates the CO 2 philic surfactants for the CO 2 mobility control. The synthesis process was optimized. The foam durability experiments in the presence and absence of the crude oil were conducted. The mobility reduction factor was found 2.93. In addition, 93.25% oil recovery was achieved.
