The effect of seminal plasma on the motility, oxygen consumption and glucose utilization of spermatozoa was studied in comparison with that of cock blood serum, buffered Ringer solution or Lake's A solution. The motility of washed spermatozoa in the medium containing serminal plasma or blood serum was vigorous at the beginning of incubation.
