Learning Process of Driving Operation in System Change of Train Cab Environment

The new models of rolling stock that were introduced with timetable revisions in 2015 have greatly improved the driver's cabin environment compared to the conventional models, such as operating lever, indication method of forward panel, and monitoring device mounting. As a result, driving operations have changed significantly. Therefore, a follow-up survey for one year was conducted to obtain basic knowledge on learning driving operations in the new models of rolling stock. The results
more » ... that the total stress felt by drivers in approximately three months was nearly similar to that in older rolling stock during frequent occupation, whereas the stress was little reduced even after one year if the frequency of occupation was low.
