Synthesis, characterization, fluorescence, and thermal studies of a new series of Schiff bases derived from sulfaproxylene

A new series of Schiff bases were synthesized by the condensation of sulfaproxylene with various aldehydes in ethanol. The structures of Schiff bases were characterized by using elemental analysis, IR, 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR and Mass spectrometry techniques. Thermal stability of the prepared compounds was investigated using TG and DTG.
