PSO Aided Adaptive Multiscale Products Thresholding for Magnetic Resonance Images

Edge-preserving denoising is an important task in medical image processing. In this paper a wavelet thresholding scheme for noise suppression of magnetic resonance images optimized by PSO algorithm has been proposed. To exploit the wavelet inter scale dependencies, adjacent wavelet subbands are multiplied to enhance edge structures while weakening noise.
