... sample of (51) Premier League basketball players in Jordan. Means, standard deviation multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA), and Scheffé's method were used to To analyze the results statistically. Which indicated that most common leadership pattern of basketball coaches isvdemocratic pattern (4.2994) followed by dictatorial pattern (3.2056) and finally the permissive pattern (2.6056). Results of the study also showed significant differences in democratic pattern depending on team standing (advanced teams, late teams) in favor of late teams, and significant differences in dictatorial pattern depending on player position (playmaker, wing, pivot) in favor of playmaker comparative with wing, and in favor of pivot comparative with wing. The study recommended that basketball coaches should be used the Democratic leadership in their management style because it's active role in the development of team spirit and player's cooperation.
