The epidemic of obesity is a public health crisis. Obesity contributes to varied co morbid conditions including cardiovascular diseases, type II diabetes, hypertension, stroke and certain cancers. Obesity is mainly characterized by an excess accumulation of white adipose tissues; therefore, inhibiting adipogenesis is an anti-obesity strategy.
