While there have been so many speculations on calculating a more accurate estimate of COVID-19 mortality since the start of this pandemic, the complexity of the issue along with differences in reporting and testing systems has prevented accurate COVID-19 mortality calculations. Some non-controlled variables affect any mortality calculation which makes real estimation of the COVID-19 mortality extremely challenging and even impossible.
