Through the generosity of a former MIT student, Mr. Julius Honig, and his employer, International Business Machines Corporation, the Department of Meteorology, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has established an award, The Rossby Award. This award is given to the student who submits what is judged to be the outstanding graduate thesis in a two-year period.
