... h the joint Regulations, the collaboration details between the two countries are established, underlining the most important objectives of it. The case study shows the implementation of the general aspects in the Barcu/Berettyó River Basin, namely: the meteorology and hydrology data and information mutual transmission, water quality common assessment by the evaluation of the physical-chemical and biological results of the analyses performed on water samples commonly, the presentation of the water sampling and flow rate measurement sections, of the intervention sections in case of oil products accidental pollution and the hydrometric stations, their placement on the watercourses, the flood protection elevations and the transmission frequency of the elevations during special situations and the flood common assessment. The concept of river basin water management according to the Water Framework Directive (2000/60/CE) is better illustrated within the transboundary areas, when two or more countries have to jointly manage the same water resource without prejudices on any party. The idea of "river basin solidarity" must have the precedence, when the dialog and the communication have an important role.
