In order to verify the mutation capacity of the chemical compound CPATG {Cyclopentilideno-Bis (Tioglicolic) Acid} synthetized by the Chemistry Departament of UFSM in Phaseolus vulgaris L. the germination (%), hypocotyl lenght (cm) , and epycotyl lenght (cm) were analized on the M1 generation, 168 hours after sowing in Petri dishes with CPATG concentration of 1%, 2%, and 3%.The concentration of 3% was more genotoxic considering germination, hypocotyl and epycotyl lenghts were more affected by
