This document presents use cases and requirements for a "superfluid" network, which is one that will have the ability to instantiate services on-the-fly, run them anywhere in the network (core, aggregation, edge) and shift them transparently to different locations. It is an output of the Superfluidity collaborative research project. At this stage we provide some initial thoughts on how the requirements, arising from the use cases, will impact on our technical work. The intended readership for this document is quite general – other researchers into future networks, IT and their convergence; business leaders who will decide what use cases should be invested in; and engineers who will make the superfluid world a reality.
