The purpose of this paper is to propose a framework on the relationship between fit among strategy, structure, and processes, and performance, which is called the SSPP paradigm, in the supply chain management (SCM) context. This paper reviewed empirical literature on the relationship between strategy, structure, and/or processes in supply chains and performance. The literature was collected from major journals in the areas of logistics, operations, and supply chain management. As a result, we

The current research, however, has paid little attention to the impact of the linkage between supply chain processes and strategy/structure on performance. This paper is the first to incorporate typical patterns of supply chain strategies and the main dimensions of the supply chain structure, processes, and performance that have been fragmentarily discussed in prior studies into a SCM-related SSPP framework. The framework is useful to understand more various and wide-ranging phenomena in supply chains.
