This paper describes precise processing techniques of a single biological cell by using laser beams. A laser beam is focused to the order of its wavelength on the cell membrane or the microorganisms. This non-contact and precise biological cell micro-processing technique is mainly used for the injection of foreign substances such as DNA into cells and for cell fusion.
