Job Satisfaction and Characteristics of Commercial Fitness Club Employees

A great number of investigations on job satisfaction have been achieved but relatively few of these studies were conducted in sport management. This study examined job satisfaction and characteristics of commercial fitness club employees. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between job satisfaction and organizational effectiveness, such as service qualities and corporate excellences that were evaluated by the employees. more » ... onnaires were returned, for a response rate of 67.3%. The sample data of only full-time employees (include managerial personnel) were used in the following satatistical procedure(meandifferent test). The results of this study indicated that higher satisfied group and lower one on three job satisfaction scores each(training,job toughness,achievement motivation) differed significantly in regard to the service qualities. The further analysis also indicated that the above two groups on each job satisfaction scores except only two items(working hours a day, commute convenience) differed significantly in regard to the corporate excellences.
